Mutualist Blog: Free Market Anti-Capitalism

To dissolve, submerge, and cause to disappear the political or governmental system in the economic system by reducing, simplifying, decentralizing and suppressing, one after another, all the wheels of this great machine, which is called the Government or the State. --Proudhon, General Idea of the Revolution

Clarence Swartz: What is Mutualism?

At his Panarchy site, John Zube (also of Libertarian Microfiche fame) has the full text of Clarence Lee Swartz's 1927 classic What is Mutualism?

Kevin-

I am now seeing much clear what you are referring to with regards to Vermont having leap frogged over industrialism and moved directly into post-industrialism as it relates to P2P networking, small scale manufacturing, efficiencies, etc...

interestingly the whole Connecticut river valley (both NH and VT) is chock full of small scale, mom & pop tool and die shops using sophisticated computer and metal cutting technology...

I just wish folks would be much more careful about the use of the term "collective" vs. "in common" as it relates to communal exchange!

they are actually opposite in meaning...
